专利说明:

The invention relates to a balustrade for a moving walk or an escalator with a handrail and a guide for the handrail, on which the handrail is moved by a motor driven along its longitudinal axis.
There are known moving walks and escalators, which not only run on straight lines but also those that can drive around a curve in a horizontal plane. It is also possible that moving walks are arranged not only in horizontal planes but also in rising or falling planes, possibly also with curved transitions between rising or falling planes and horizontal planes. Even with escalators, there is a transition between a rising or falling transport level in a horizontal transport level. When subsequently talking about a transport plane, both horizontal planes and rising or falling planes and their transitions to horizontal planes are understood. Further, when referring to a moving walkway, this equally applies to escalators insofar as they have a bend or bend in any part of their transport path which also includes a horizontal component.
In the case of moving walkways, it is problematic that the handrail generally has a substantially higher rigidity in a plane parallel to the transport plane than in the vertical plane, since handrails at the end of the balustrade are normally deflected downward in an arc shape and thus in this direction or in this plane Because of their geometric shape and structure, they are difficult or impossible to bend in a plane parallel to the transport plane. The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a balustrade with a handrail for a moving walk, which is guided in a plane parallel to the transport plane following the path of the moving walk or the escalator to an arcuate section.
This object is achieved in a balustrade of the type mentioned in that the handrail is guided on the guide about its longitudinal axis twisted along an arcuate portion of the guide.
Since the handrail is rotated about its longitudinal axis when the balustrade following the moving walk in a plane parallel to the transport plane, its rigidity in the plane parallel to the transport plane is less than if it were not twisted about its longitudinal axis, so that the handrail the arcuate Section of the guide can follow easier or no costly measures must be taken to reduce the rigidity of the handrail in the plane parallel to the transport plane so far that it can be performed around the arcuate portion of the guide.
In the invention, when the handrail is at an angle of at least 45 °, it is preferred
preferably at an angle of 90 °, guided about its longitudinal axis is guided on the guide. The handrail is thereby bent in particular at a rotation angle of 90 ° in the arcuate portion of the guide in the same plane as is usually done at the end of the balustrade, when a handrail is guided arcuately down, so that a conventional handrail can be used.
Preferably, in the invention, when the handrail is opposed to a straight portion of the guide at the top of the balustrade and to an arcuate portion of the guide on the side of the balustrade opposite that side to which the arcuate portion of the guide is bent, guided at the guide. In this case, the handrail is arranged in a curve of the moving walk on the outside, that is, on the side facing away from the center of curvature of the curve, the balustrade.
Alternatively, in the invention it is also possible that the handrail is guided on a straight portion of the guide at the top of the balustrade and on an arcuate portion of the guide on the side of the balustrade, on which the arcuate portion of the guide is bent, on the guide , The handrail is thus in a curve of the moving walk on the inside, that is arranged on the curvature center of the curve side facing the balustrade.
But in the invention it is also possible that the handrail is guided on a straight portion of the guide at the top of the balustrade and at arcuate portions of the guide, which are bent on opposite sides, on corresponding opposite sides of the guide. The handrail is thus arranged once on the inside and once on the outside or the top of the balustrade as needed.
The handrail may be in the invention, as is known in the art, at the end of a balustrade at the top of the balustrade lying on the guide circular arc guided down. But it can also be bent at the end of a balustrade as described above in a plane parallel to the transport plane by 180 ° and be performed, for example, to a running in the opposite direction moving walk.
Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments of the invention with reference to the accompanying drawings. It shows:
1 a moving walk with a balustrade according to the invention in a first embodiment, FIG. 2 a moving walk with a balustrade according to the invention in a second embodiment,
3 a handrail in a first position,
4 shows a handrail of a second position and FIG. 5 shows a handrail in the third position.
In Fig. 1, a moving walk 1 is shown, which runs in a horizontal transport plane 2 in the illustrated embodiment by a plurality of curves 3, 4, 5, 6, between which straight transport sections 7, 8, 9, 10 are located. The moving walk 1 consists, as is known, of a multiplicity of approximately sickle-shaped plates which are connected to one another such that they can travel around curves 3, 4, 5, 6 as well as along straight transport paths 7, 8, 9, 10.
Along the moving walk 1, a balustrade 11 is arranged with a handrail 12, which follows the path of the moving walk 1, wherein persons, while they are transported on the moving walk 1, can hold on the handrail 12, which moves at the same speed as the moving walk 1 becomes.
The handrail 12 has, as can be seen in the embodiment of FIGS. 3 to 5, a substantially C-shaped cross section with a flat central web 13 and mutually bent leg ends 14. At the central web 13 a extending in the longitudinal direction of the handrail 12 rib 15 is arranged, which is directed to the interior of the C-shaped cross-section. The handrail is guided in this embodiment on an approximately Y-shaped guide 16 with a 17 arranged between legs groove 18 in which the rib 15 of the handrail 12 is guided. The legs 17 of the guide 16 are encompassed by the bent leg ends 14 of the handrail 12.
As shown in FIG. 4, the guide 16 can be arranged at the top of the balustrade 3 facing upward, whereby the handrail 12 is arranged on the upper side of the guide 16 and thus the balustrade 3. This position of the handrail 12 is preferably used according to the invention for straight-line transport routes, for example the transport routes 7, 8, 9, 10 according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
Since the handrail 12 in a plane 19 which is parallel to the transport plane 1, difficult or impossible to bend, it would be difficult to go with the handrail 12 to curves 3,4, 5, 6. According to the handrail 12 is therefore rotated along its longitudinal axis, in the embodiment of FIG. 3 by 90 ° to the left and in the embodiment of FIG. 5 by 90 ° to the right. In the position shown in FIG. 3 and 5, the handrail 12 can be easily bent in the plane 19, so that it is also possible to follow the curves 3, 4, 5, 6 with the handrail 12. Theoretically, it would be possible, depending on the shape of the handrail 12, not to rotate the handrail 12 by 90 ° but by an angle less than 90 °, for example, only 45 °, since the rigidity of the handrail 12 in the direction of the plane 19 then already is less than in the position shown in FIG. 4. Preferably, in the invention, however, a rotation of the handrail UMl 90 °. - 4 -
The position according to FIG. 3 could assume the handrail 12, for example in the region of the curves 4 and 6 of FIG. 1, whereby the handrail is arranged, as it were, on the outside of the balustrade 11, that is to say the side remote from the center of curvature of the curve 4, 6, and the position according to FIG. 5 in the region of the curves 3 and 5 of FIG. 1, the handrail in the curve 5 so to speak on the inside of the balustrade 11, that is the side of the curvature of the curve 5, and in the curve 3 again is arranged on the outside of the balustrade. The handrail 12 is preferably arranged on at least one curve 3, 4, 5, 6 on an outer side, since it then is e.g. can be driven by a V-belt very easy motor.
In Fig. 2, the handrail 12 at the end of the balustrade 11 (in the region of the curves 4 and 6) as known per se from the prior art on the guide 16 arcuately guided downward, so that it is on its guide 16 to its position the balustrade 11 substantially as Fig. 4 dargestelit retains when it comes from a straight transport path 7, 8, 9, 10, in which he also described as described above also preferably the Fig. 4 position shown, enters or enters this. Compared to the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the handrail 12 could then assume, for example, only the positions according to FIGS. 4 and 5 but not those according to FIG. 3.
If the moving walk 1 not only runs in a horizontal plane 2, as in the exemplary embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, but changes from a horizontal plane into an inclined plane and if at most a curve is present in this transitional area, then it is in this transitional zone. or curve area advantageous when the handrail 12 is rotated not by 90 * but by an angle smaller than 90 ° about its longitudinal axis, the central region 13 of the handrail 12 is thus rotated by an angle between 0 ° and 90 °, since the optimum bending plane of the handrail 12 can then be adapted to the curvature of the conveying path and thus the guide 16.
